20 TMC Lok Sabha MPs in West Bengal Decide to Support NDA Government

According to news agency PTI, 20 of the 28 Lok Sabha MPs have decided to support the NDA government. MP and former TMC leader Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar also made the same claim on Monday. She informed that 20 MPs have informed Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla of their support to the NDA. A letter will also be sent to the Speaker soon. 11 of these MPs held a meeting at the house of Union Minister and BJP's Bengal in-charge Bhupendra Yadav on Monday afternoon. Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari also arrived to meet them. Lok Sabha MPs Kakoli Ghosh, Satabdi Roy, Abu Taher, Arup Chakraborty, Khalilur Rahman, Sharmila Sarkar, Asit Mal, Kalipada Soren, Jagdish Basunia and Prasun Banerjee were present at the meeting. TMC currently has 28 MPs in Lok Sabha and 13 in Rajya Sabha. Earlier on June 3, a breakaway faction of 80 MLAs from Bengal had formed its own faction. According to news agency PTI, 20 MPs have also made an informal meeting with the TMC leadership at an undisclosed location in Delhi.
