A shocking incident has come to light from Anand, where an Aam Aadmi Party candidate has been accused of swindling ₹8.5 lakh. The arrested accused has been identified as Mitul Rajesh Padiyar, who was contesting as an AAP candidate from Ward No. 13 in Anand city. According to the complaint, Nirav Chavda, a hotel owner in Ahmedabad, was in financial need. His friend Mitul Padiyar had assured him to get a loan on gold. Though Mitul had sanctioned a loan of ₹6 lakh on gold, he had given only ₹4 lakh to the complainant and kept the remaining ₹2 lakh for himself. Also, the accused had taken the complainant's car for sale and paid only ₹1 lakh on the pretext of getting a loan on it.
