AAP Leader Satyendra Jain Arrested for Alleged Corruption in Delhi Sewage Treatment Plant Tender

Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Delhi Water Minister Satyendra Jain was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) of Delhi on Tuesday (August 18) evening. A total of 6 people, including Jain, have been arrested in this case. The case is related to alleged corruption in the tender for upgrading the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) under the Delhi Jal Board (DJB). After the arrest, Jain was taken to Aruna Asaf Ali Hospital for a medical examination late on Tuesday night. Since this arrest, the AAP has been attacking the BJP and the party chief claimed that the previous case was also fake and this case will also be proved to be fake. Also, the AAP claims that this arrest is directly related to the Punjab Assembly elections as Jain is the co-incharge of the AAP there for the Punjab elections to be held in 2027. Let us know that the ACB has arrested 6 people including Jain on August 18, 2026 on the basis of the FIR registered on May 11, 2024.
