Chennai, તા.12: AIADMK appears divided in Tamil Nadu. AIADMK gets only 47 seats in this election. One faction is led by Palaniswami, who has the support of 17 leaders, while the other is led by Velumani, who has the support of 30 MLAs. The differences between the two factions became clear when newly elected AIADMK members arrived to attend the first session of the 17th Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly on Monday. One faction submitted a letter to Pro-Tem Speaker એમ.વી. Karuppiah, requesting him to declare P. Velumani as the leader of the AIADMK legislature party. The other faction demanded that party general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami be declared the leader of the legislature party. Meanwhile, sources suggest that the group of 30 MLAs led by Velumani wants to support the TVK party in the state, while Palami is opposed to this.
