Air India Expands Fleet for Air India Express, Boosts Seating Capacity

Ads As part of Air India Group's plan to optimise fleet, Air India has delivered six Airbus aircraft to Air India Express in August and September. Four more aircraft will join its fleet soon. Air India Express fleet will increase to 110 aircraft by mid-October 2026. AdsAir India Express is expected to replace 50 Boeing ID1 Max aircraft by March 2027. This will increase the airline's seating capacity by about four additional aircraft. Air India-supplied aircraft will be used for increased flights from October onwards. Air India Express will operate flights to seven cities in September as part of Air India Group's network transformation, including Aurangabad, Madurai, Tirupati, and Jodhpur.
