Akali Dal Waris Punjab De Nominates Satwant Singh for Punjab Assembly 2027

Various political parties have already started making their strategies for the Punjab Assembly 2027. Meanwhile, the Bassi Pathana seat has become the center of political discussion. Several Panthic leaders have staked their claim for this seat. Meanwhile, the Akali Dal Waris Punjab De (ADWPD) has announced to field a candidate from this seat for the assembly elections to be held in 2027. This candidate's name is Satwant Singh, who is the son of Kehar Singh, a convict in the assassination of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The ADWPD on Monday (August 10) announced that it has nominated Satwant Singh to contest from the Bassi Pathana assembly constituency.
