Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed public meetings in Birbhum and Paschim Bardhaman districts in this order. Addressing the rally, Amitbhai Shah alleged that the Mamata Banerjee government has encouraged infiltration in the state. He said that the BSF needed 600 acres of land to build a fence for border security, but the state government refused to give the land. Shah alleged that infiltrators are being protected and used as a vote bank. He promised that "after the BJP forms the government on May 5, 2026, infiltrators will be identified and expelled from the country."
