Kaliabor: Campaigning for the Assam Assembly elections has heated up. Union Home Minister Amit Shah lashed out at the Congress at a rally in Kaliabor, saying the previous government had handed over the land of the world-famous Kaziranga National Park to infiltrators, endangering one-horned rhinoceros. Shah claimed that it was the NDA government that removed these encroachments and put Kaziranga back on the tourism map. He slammed Manmohan Singh and Rahul Gandhi, asking what work had been done for Assam's development in 15 years of rule. On the other hand, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi hit back, calling Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma the most corrupt Chief Minister of India. Rahul alleged that PM Modi, Amit Shah and Himanta Biswa Sarma together are running'land ATMs'in the state, in which big businessmen are being given land by taking away the land of the poor. He tried to lure voters in the case of local singer Zubeen Garg.
