Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma posted a video today, Tuesday, October 13. In this video, Rahul Gandhi is seen holding Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar's collar and pulling him back during an opposition march in New Delhi. The Assam Chief Minister described the incident as a "public humiliation" and asked DK Shivakumar if he would accept this behaviour. Himanta Biswa Sarma shared footage of the Congress's Monday visit on X and recalled his differences with the Congress leadership before joining the BJP. Sarma wrote, "In 2015, as a self-respecting Assamese, I refused to bear the humiliation. God was kind to me." Sarma said on the incident with DK Shivakumar, "The Chief Minister of Karnataka is not just an individual. He is holding a constitutional post and is the face of a state that has a glorious history, rich culture and is very proud of its pride." The Assam Chief Minister further asked, "Will he bow down to this public humiliation?"
