: Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya has approved the portfolio allocations proposed by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for members of the Council of Ministers,formally completing the redistribution of responsibilities within the state cabinet. Senior BJP leader Rameswar Teli has been entrusted with the departments of Transformation and Development, Labour Welfare and Tea Tribes and Adivasi Welfare. AGP president Atul Bora has been allocated the portfolios of Panchayat and Rural Development, Implementation of Assam Accord, Border Protection and Development and Excise. Meanwhile, Charan Boro will handle the Transport and Welfare of Bodoland departments. Minister Ajanta Neog has been given charge of the Women and Child Development and Tourism departments. The approval by the Governor formalizes the redistribution of responsibilities within the Assam Council of Ministers under the leadership of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
