Australia Wins T20I Series Against Bangladesh for First Time

Australia defeated Bangladesh by 7 runs in the 2nd T20I to win the T20I series against Bangladesh for the first time in history. However, in this do-or-die match, Bangladesh could have won the T20I series, as they started brilliantly in pursuit of 197. 72 runs were scored in the powerplay and only 1 wicket was lost. The score was 122 runs in 12 overs, 75 runs were needed in 48 balls for victory and 8 wickets were in hand. At one point, Bangladesh's winning chances were 34%. But in this thrilling match that lasted until the last over, Australia won and took an unassailable 2 - 0 lead in the series. Australia had scored 196 runs while batting first. Bangladesh openers Tanzid Hasan and Saif Hassan made a brisk start, both shared a partnership of 48 runs in 22 balls for the first wicket.
