Balochistan Seeks Independence from Pakistan, Citing Historical Disconnection

Balochistan. The region which was deceived by Muhammad Ali Jinnah and included in Pakistan is now on the path of independence once again. Recently, the organization fighting for separation from Pakistan, the Republic of Balochistan, wrote an open letter to the United Nations, in which it said clearly that we were neither historically part of Pakistan nor are we included in it today. It has appealed to the UN to seriously consider the status of Balochistan as an independent country. If Balochistan becomes a separate country, it will be the second major blow to Pakistan after Bangladesh. A blow that will weaken Pakistan's economic and diplomatic strength. Balochistan is the least populated and the largest province by area in Pakistan, which is about 44 percent of the country. Balochistan is endowed with natural resources and is also of strategic importance due to its geographical location. If seen on the map, Balochistan is located in the southwest of Pakistan, its long coastline of Punjab and Sindh in the southeast of Pakistan, which is 770 kilometers in the west of Pakistan, and its coastline of the Arabian Sea in the west of Pakistan, which is 770 kilometers in the west of Pakistan.
