Pune: Polling underway for the Baramati Assembly by-election. 8.01% voter turnout recorded in two hours from 7 am to 9 am. There are 3,84,579 voters for this election. 30,798 voters cast their votes in the first two hours. Jay Pawar is visiting booth heads at polling stations to increase the voting percentage due to the heat. The election machinery is fully geared up in view of the Baramati Assembly by-election. Polling has started in full swing since morning. Sunetra Pawar, Parth Pawar and Jay Pawar have cast their votes. Rohit Pawar and Supriya Sule have also cast their votes through their family members. The Pawar family is appealing to Baramati residents to vote. 478 EVMs, 956 ballot units and 478 VVPAT machines have been arranged for voting. All the polling stations have been shifted to the polling stations under the safe supervision of the Election Commission.
