Baroda Assembly Constituency: A Historic Stronghold of Left-Wing RSP Party

Nowadays Web Desk: In Murshidabad district, Baroya assembly constituency was known as a stronghold of the left-wing RSP for decades. In Murshidabad district, even when Adhir Chowdhury was the leader of'Dordand Pratapshali ', his former brother-in-law Arit Majumdar could not gain advantage by contesting this seat. Mother Kali was accused of being the district president of Murshidabad. It was the son-in-law who was relied upon to retain this assembly of the state. From 1967 to 2011, this seat (meanwhile, the seat was held by the Congress from 1971 to 1977) was continuously held by the RSP.
