BCCI Secretary Refuses to Comment on Kohli and Sharma's 2027 ODI World Cup Participation

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are only available in ODIs for India. The Hitmen are currently playing an ODI series against Afghanistan, while Kohli is out with an injury. Both players seem to be performing consistently in the format, but still the question is whether the two legends will find a place in Team India for the 2027 ODI World Cup? To this, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia gave a very twisted answer. Virat Saikia made it clear that such information cannot be made public. Speaking to news agency PTI, the BCCI secretary said that there are reviews about Team India. There are constant conversations between the selection committee, cricket committee, players and coaching staff. Also, he informed that our system is very strong and all the experts are connected. When Devajit Saikia was asked about Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma playing in the 2027 ODI World Cup, he replied, "I don't think that such a decision should be made in front of the public or by the BCCI."
