On the occasion of Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee's 82nd birth anniversary, the Pramod Dasgupta Trust held a discussion. The discussion was attended by Dr Arun Singh, former civil servant Jahar Sircar, social activist and litterateur Anita Agnihotri, economists Ratan Khasanvish and Ranjan Prasad. Cultural programmes were also performed by artists of Ganatantra Sangh. The meeting was moderated by advocate Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharjee. On behalf of the Pramod Dasgupta Trust, he said, "From this, our plan is to build a centre for alternative cultural practices. Democracy is in danger in the state. Threat culture is everywhere. So we want to take a pledge against fear, injustice. We say, unite, resist." He said that the children killed in Iran were kidnapped by the Trump administration.
