Bihar Chief Minister Clarifies on Minister Deepak Prakash's Post Amid Speculation

Deepak Prakash, son of RLM chief Upendra Kushwaha, did not get a chance in the Bihar MLC elections. As soon as the name of the candidates came out, there was a discussion that Deepak Prakash's post could go. Meanwhile, Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has cleared the picture. On Friday (June 12, 2026), Samrat Chaudhary said that Panchayati Raj Minister Deepak Prakash is still a minister and will continue to be a minister. Samrat Chaudhary was addressing an event in Patna on the completion of 12 years of the central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the Bharatiya Janata Party has worked to fulfill all the resolutions put before the country since the time of the Jana Sangh. He said that Bihar is getting continuous support from the central government, which has accelerated the development works. Samrat Chaudhary said that today Bihar is among the leading states of the country, where electricity has reached villages and rural road connectivity has improved. The Chief Minister said that apart from the 7 bridges under construction on the river Ganga, 7 major bridges on the Gandak, 7 bridges on the Kosi and other major bridges on the rivers.
