Bihar DGP Vinay Kumar Set to Become Chief Information Commissioner

Bihar DGP Vinay Kumar to demit office. Vinay Kumar has gone on 21 days earned leave with effect from 15th September. Meanwhile, Samrat government took a big decision on Friday (25th September, 2026). Vinay Kumar is all set to be appointed as the Chief Information Commissioner of the state. On Friday (25th September, 2026) evening, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary held a meeting at his residence. Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav was there. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary was also there. The meeting agreed on the name of Vinay Kumar as the Chief Information Commissioner of the state. Now the formal notification of appointment is awaited. Also, it is reported that Anjani Kumar Singh will be made the State Information Commissioner. He has been an officer of the judicial service. The tenure of the present Chief Information Commissioner Tripurari Sharan has already ended in June. Let us tell you that Vinay Kumar's leave is from 15th September, 1991 to 5th October.
