Bihar Floods Worsen: 16 Districts Affected, Over 28 Lakh People Displaced

The flood situation in Bihar continues to be grim. 16 districts have been affected by floods caused by overflowing rivers, including Ganga, Punpun, Gandak, Sone and Kosi. River Ganga is flowing above the danger mark at seven places. According to the data, about 700 boats are being operated. The situation in other districts is also not good. The situation has become critical in 14 districts. Patna, Begusarai, West Champaran, Vaishali, Bhojpur, Buxar, Rohtas, Jehanabad, Bhagalpur, Munger, etc. are the worst affected. Around 200 roads have been affected by floods. There is support for boats. Around 28 lakh population has been affected by floods. More than 100 schools have been closed in Bhojpur and Begusarai. (Ganga water has entered the lower part of Patna city on the banks of Ganga.) BJP national president Nitin Navin said that CM Samrat Chaudhary himself is monitoring the situation. Everyone is trying to ensure that people have minimum problems. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also keeping a close eye on the flood situation.
