Bihar Gets New Governor, Challenges Ahead

Bihar has got a new governor before a new chief minister. Syed Ata Hasnain has been appointed as the 43rd governor of the state. He will replace incumbent Arif Mohammad Khan. Syed Ata Hasnain, a former lieutenant general in the Indian Army, will take over as the governor of Bihar next week. He is scheduled to arrive in Patna on March 12. On the other hand, Bihar is also set to get a new chief minister after Nitish Kumar leaves for the Rajya Sabha. According to information, Syed Ata Hasnain, the new governor of Bihar, will take over as the governor of Bihar at Lok Bhawan after reaching Patna. The chief justice of the Patna High Court will administer the oath of office to him. However, the date of the swearing-in ceremony has not been fixed yet. It is likely that he will take over as the governor on March 13. The new governor will have the big challenge of regularizing the academic and examination sessions in the state's universities.
