Bihar Government Accepts Demands for Single-Phase Teacher Recruitment Exam

The Samrat Chaudhary government has taken a big decision regarding the Bihar Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE 4). The government has accepted the demands of the candidates and announced that the TRE 4 examination will now be held in a single phase instead of two separate phases. After the successful talks between the government and the student representatives, the ongoing indefinite sit-in at Gardanibagh in Patna has also ended. The candidates were sitting at the Gardanibagh sit-in site since 18 August 2026 demanding a single phase of the examination and transparency. Amid the increasing pressure of the movement, the student representatives were invited by the state government for talks. In this high-level meeting with Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, the students put forward their problems. The government accepted the arguments of the students and gave its consent to the demand for a single exam. After the major demands were agreed upon, the student organizations announced to end their protest. The candidates present at the site welcomed this decision of the government and the successful talks between the students and the government.
