Bihar Government Introduces Half-Day Schedule for Government Schools on Saturdays

Relief is in the air for lakhs of students and teachers studying in government schools in Bihar. The education department has decided to implement half-day in all government schools on Saturday with partial changes in the operating hours of schools. Under the new order, schools will now operate till 1 pm on Saturday, while classes and other activities will be held as per schedule from Monday to Friday. According to the order issued by the director of secondary education Sajjan R., all government schools will operate from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm from Monday to Friday. Schools will open at 9.30 am and will be operated till 1.00 pm on Saturday. Students of classes 1 to 8 will have their studies and other academic activities on Saturday till 12:00 noon. After lunch, students will be given leave. Classes and other activities will be conducted in secondary and higher secondary schools till 1.00 pm on Saturday. After this, the education department has also made it clear to the teachers that the work plan of the upcoming week will not be sent to the students after the completion of classes.
