BJP Announces 19 New Candidates for West Bengal Assembly Elections

The BJP on Wednesday evening announced the names of 19 more candidates for the West Bengal Assembly elections. Panihati constituency is the biggest surprise in the list. The saffron party has fielded the mother of the victim of the RG Kar Hospital rape case against the TMC. Panihati constituency has now become one of the'high-voltage'seats in the state. The victim's father and mother had joined the BJP a few days ago. Tirthankar Ghosh, son of TMC chief whip Nirmal Ghosh, is the TMC candidate. On the other hand, the Left has young leader Kaltan Dasgupta. Panihati is set to witness a battle for justice versus political dominance. The third list also includes some key seats in North Bengal: heavyweight names have emerged in South Bengal. Arungusupur Kumar Das, Bera, and Shantibir Shanto have also been given tickets from Midnapore, Midnapore, Shantipur, Harekrishna Das, and Harekrushna Tamizharia have been fielded by the party.
