BJP Announces New National Team, Preps for 2027 Elections

BJP president Nitin Naveen announced its new national team on 17 August 2026. Smriti Irani was made general secretary and Vasundhara Raje national vice-president. B. L. Santosh became general secretary of the organization. The new team has 13 vice-presidents and 8 general secretaries. The formation of the team was pending since Naveen became president 7 months ago. The party prepared its national team in view of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly elections. The BJP is the world's largest political party.
