BJP, Congress, and Independent Candidates Vie for Seats in Kekri Panchayat Samiti Elections

The BJP has fielded Jona Devi Jat as its candidate from this seat. The official Congress candidate is Samok Devi Gurjar. If Seema Chaudhary remains in the fray as an independent candidate, it may see a triangular contest between the BJP and the Congress instead of a direct contest. Seema Chaudhary, being a former pradhan, also has a political identity in the area. Her independent candidature could be a challenge for the Congress. On the last day of nominations for the post of member in the Kekri Panchayat Samiti under the Advertisement Panchayat Raj elections on Tuesday, the election atmosphere was in full swing in the Sub-Division Office premises. The candidates of the BJP, Congress and Rashtriya Loktantrik Party started arriving throughout the day. On the last day of nominations, independent candidates along with the candidates of political parties have also made their electoral claims in all the 15 wards of the National Panchayat Samiti (RLP).
