BJP Considers Pre-Poll Alliance with SAD Amid Triangular Electoral Battle

According to a senior BJP leader associated with the Punjab strategy, there are many reasons for the two parties to come together again. The biggest reason is the combined strength of the two parties. Together, the two parties have got at least 37 per cent of the votes. Since the electoral battle this time will be triangular, a pre-poll alliance will be in a position to gain power. On the contrary, the loss of staying apart has been felt by both parties. Party sources said that in the event of an alliance, the Congress and the AAP will have a chance to strike. However, the SAD has been out of power for almost ten years. The BJP will try to link the issue with the Congress and the current Mann government.
