BJP Intensifies Review After By-Election Defeat in Datia

After the defeat in the Datia Assembly by-election, the churning and review of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified. The reasons for the defeat were discussed in detail in a review meeting held in Bhopal under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. State President Hemant Khandelwal, senior office bearers of the organization, ministers and leaders associated with the Datia by-election were present in the meeting. According to sources, BJP candidate Ashutosh Tiwari put the allegations of alleged internal disturbance during the election and lack of cooperation at the local level in front of the organization. He also questioned the role of some leaders. The party leadership took these points seriously and started a detailed review of the whole matter. It is being said that the state organization will send its report to the Delhi High Command. On the basis of this report, disciplinary action can be taken against the leaders and office bearers responsible. According to sources, there is a discussion of action on the BJP leaders of Datia district as well as the dissolution of the BJP district executive committee. After the resignation of former Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, the district president of the district committee, all the leaders of the party remained active in the election.
