BJP Leader Suvendu Adhikari Casts Vote, Makes Claims About Muslim Votes in Nandigram

As the morning progressed, queues of voters began to form at various booths in Nandigram assembly constituency. Booth number 79 of Nandigram constituency number 210, Nandanayak Bar Primary School, also saw enthusiastic voters since morning. BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari cast his vote there. Confident, Suvendu said, "This year my result will be better compared to 2021." He also made big claims about Muslim votes. He said, "Last time I got about 400 Muslim votes, this time it will be 4000." Referring to Muslim youths working in BJP-ruled states, he claimed that many of them would return to their states and support the BJP as an alternative. Expressing satisfaction with the role of the commission and central forces in the election process, Suvendu said, "This time the commission and central forces are quite active." However, he complained on the day of polling. The BJP leader claimed that a level officer (BLO) at a booth in Brajamohan Tiwari Shikshaniketan was trying to influence the voters on the spot by using a mobile phone. He also advised the BLO not to use mobile phones in the first hours to influence the voters.
