BJP Leader Vijay Mishra Files Defamation Suit Against Rahul Gandhi Over Amit Shah Remarks

BJP leader Vijay Mishra, a resident of Hanumanganj in Kotwali Dehat police station, has filed a defamation suit against Rahul Gandhi for his remarks against Home Minister Amit Shah in 2018. The case is being heard in the MP-MLA Magistrate Court. On March 12, complainant Vijay Mishra's application to the trial court to have Rahul Gandhi's voice examined and matched with a forensic science laboratory was rejected by the court on May 2. The magistrate court's order was challenged in the sessions court by a monitoring petition filed by the anti-advertisement BJP leader. His monitoring petition was rejected on July 15 by MP-MLA Court's Sessions Judge Rakesh Yadav. The petition was filed in the High Court against the order of the Sessions Court. Rahul Gandhi's lawyer said that all the records related to the case were not produced by complainant Vijay Mishra in the High Court. The High Court found the petition weak at the initial stage in the case and on September 10, the complainant had started the proceedings.
