BJP Loses Bankipur Assembly Seat By-Election to RJD

By-election was held in Bankipur assembly seat in July. It was such a seat that the whole country was watching the result. The main fight was between BJP, RJD and Jan Suraj. All eyes were on the result of this by-election because of Prashant Kishor. When the result came, BJP lost in its stronghold Bankipur. Neeraj Sinha, now the BJP candidate, has given the reason for the defeat for the first time. Neeraj Sinha is admitting the reason for his defeat to RJD. When he came in front of the media on Friday (August 21, 2026), he was asked the reason for the defeat. Neeraj Sinha said, "What will be the reason for the defeat... There was a fight between RJD and BJP... Today all the workers of RJD and their core voters sat in the camp of Prashant Kishor. RJD's deposit was forfeited." Targeting the Rashtriya Janata Dal, BJP leader Neeraj Kumar Sinha said, "The party had a good tally.
