He said he had serious differences with some state-level colleagues. He also spent 22 days in jail fighting for the party. He had several legal cases filed against him, such as the BJP flag pole case and posting of the prime minister's photo. Reddy said he always put the party's interest above his personal self-respect and fought legal battles.
