BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has demanded the return of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), as well as Noakhali, Sylhet, and Chittagong. He said that now is the time not only to take back PoK from Pakistan, but also to take back the areas which according to him were ceded to Pakistan by Jawaharlal Nehru. Nishikant Dubey said, "I am of the opinion that the time has come that we should not only take back Pakistan-occupied Kashmir from Pakistan, but also the areas which Nehruji had forcibly ceded. These include Noakhali, Chittagong Port, and Sylhet." Dubey alleged that Nehru was anxious to become the prime minister. He said that India became independent in 1947, but Nehru became the prime minister only on 2 September 1946. According to him, after this, the Muslim League started direct action. The BJP MP claimed that on 15 October 1946, a large-scale massacre of Hindus took place in Noakhali and that Nehru's government was not concerned about how 10 thousand Muslims were killed there.
