BJP Preps for Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council Elections with Poll Management Strategy

The BJP is going all out for the elections to 11 teachers'and graduates'seats in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council. The party has chalked out a poll management strategy on the lines of the general elections. BJP state president and Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary and state general secretary (organisation) Dharampal Singh have given instructions to make the Panna pramukh system effective in the teacher-graduate elections as well. Meetings with heads of educational institutions and teachers-graduates'conferences at the Vidhan Sabha level have also been asked to start immediately. In a meeting with office-bearers and prominent leaders of the Awadh region on Saturday at the party's state headquarters, state president Pankaj Chaudhary said that now is the time for the final phase of the elections. Every worker will have to personally contact the voters and deliver them to the centre on the polling day. Teachers and graduates should also address the perception of low voter turnout in the elections.
