BJP President Clarifies Bangladesh Infiltrator Issue, Defends Election Commission Decision

BJP National President Nitin Navin speaks to NDTV CEO and Editor-in-Chief Rahul Kanwal on the issue of Bangladesh and Bangladeshi infiltrators. He clarifies that diplomatic relations with Bangladesh are a separate issue and the issue of Bangladeshi infiltrators is a separate issue. He says national interest comes first for us. We don't give voting rights to Bangladeshi infiltrators. In the wake of the Bengal Assembly elections, the BJP President stressed that the votes that the Election Commission has decided to cut in the Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls (SIR) are based on the proposal of the local administration. The proposal to cut votes did not go through Delhi. In Bengal, most of the areas where more than 11.6% of the votes are cut are adjacent to Bangladesh. The Trinamool Congress has been winning in these areas. The TMC alleges that the Election Commission has taken more action there because of this. To this question, the BJP President said that the decision has been taken by the DM Commission and the SDO, on the basis of which he said that such a body has worked.
