BJP Punjab Disciplinary Committee Issues Show-Cause Notices to Three Leaders Over Party Discipline Violations

The Punjab Disciplinary Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party has issued show-cause notices to three leaders. It has asked the leaders why disciplinary action should not be taken against them. The notice states that these leaders had made public statements contrary to party discipline during a press conference in Sangrur on 25 August. Show-cause notices have been issued to three senior leaders of the party. Notices were served to Randeep Singh Deol, former president of BJP Sangrur, Maninder Singh Kapil, former president of BJP Sangrur, and Jatinder Kalra, former cell coordinator of BJP Punjab. The official letter dated 27 August 2026, issued by Som Parkash, Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee and former Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, states that the leaders, along with two other party workers, made such comments with regard to internal affairs and organisational issues which violate the established ideology of the party. The notice states that it has come to the notice of the BJP, Punjab Disciplinary Committee, that you along with two other party workers, attended a press conference / disciplinary conference of the party on 25 August and made such statements related to the party's internal affairs and internal party policies.
