BJP Slams Congress, Accuses Gandhi Family of Threatening Indian Democracy

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday hit out at the Congress and said that the Gandhi family is not the guardian of Indian democracy but a threat to it. Opening the front on behalf of the BJP, national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari alleged that the Congress's only aim is to bring the'Gandhi-Vadra family'back to power at the Centre. Pradeep Bhandari, in a post on social media platform X, said, "Familism is first; Familism is everything for the Congress." The BJP spokesperson claimed that India has already suffered the consequences of the'rule of the Gandhi-Vadra family '. He said, "The Congress imposed Emergency, 1984 anti-Sikh riots took place, India failed to give a decisive military response against Pakistan after the Mumbai terror attacks. India lost the opportunity to become a permanent member of the UN Security Council. India was pushed into the infamous'Fragile Five'economy. Nearly 60 per cent of Indians were struggling with poverty." Like Gandhi-Vadra, Bhandari said, "The Gandhi family has not accepted its'fight'for Indian democracy."
