BJP Unveils Third Candidate List Ahead of Elections

He had earlier announced that he would enter the poll arena with the Padma symbol to seek justice for his daughter. The BJP's third candidate list was announced by Ram Manohar Lohia. The victim's mother, RG Kar, is the BJP's candidate from Panihati. Justice for RG Kar is the saffron camp's trump card. However, the BJP's third list is full of surprises. It also has the name of retired NSG commando and intelligence officer Dipanjan Chakraborty. The BJP has announced a total of 19 candidates, including the victim's mother, a retired intelligence officer. The saffron camp is yet to announce 19 more candidates. Apart from Panihati, the list also includes a candidate from Uttarpara. Dipanjan Chakraborty, a retired NSG commando, is the BJP's bet against Meenakshi Mukherjee, a Left leader, and Kalyan Banerjee's son, Kalyan Banerjee, a Trinamool MP from Sreerampore. Apart from his experience and popularity in the defence sector, the BJP has announced a number of candidates in the rest of the two camps.
