The voting for the by-election to the Manjalpur assembly seat in Vadodara was held on July 30. The counting of votes was held today, August 3. The BJP has once again won the Manjalpur assembly seat, which is considered a stronghold of the BJP. This morning, at around 7.30 am, I reached the counting center Bhavans School in Makarpura for the counting of votes for the by-election to the Manjalpur assembly in Vadodara. I saw that since morning the police had barricaded all the roads leading to the counting center. The movement of people on the roads leading to the counting center was possible only after checking the official certificate. Before 8 am, BJP candidate Satendra Patel and Congress candidate Bhikhabhai Rabari had reached the counting center with their supporters. The counting of votes officially began at 8 am. The result of the first round was in favor of the BJP. In the first round, BJP's Satendra Patel got 3,178 votes, while Congress's Rabkhabhai got 1,538 votes. In the next round, Satendra Patel was leading against the BJP candidate by 144 votes.
