Bus Carrying Sports Academy Players Overturns in Rain, Several Injured

Nawabganj police station in-charge Abhay Singh said that 41 players of Gonda Sports Academy had gone to Nandini Nagar College to attend a student function. After the event was over, all were returning by bus. Around 4 pm, the bus overturned uncontrollably on the roadside during rain near Nandini Nagar Shooting Range. As soon as the bus overturned, the players in it screamed. People in the vicinity immediately rushed to the spot and informed the police. On receiving the information, Nawabganj police and locals started relief and rescue operation. Everyone was evacuated safely after breaking the glass of the bus. Soon the ambulance of Gonard Hospital reached the spot and the injured were taken to the hospital. The police also cleared the traffic on the spot, which made the traffic normal after some time.
