Businessman Sentenced to Prison and Fined for Non-Payment of Ceramic Tiles

RAJKOT: In lieu of the borrowed goods, the accused gave a cheque, not paying the amount as per the cheque, to Vijay Kumar, a businessman of Muzaffarpur-Bihar - Morbi Mah. 4th Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate sentenced the accused to one year simple imprisonment and fine of ₹33,668 / - double amount (₹67,336 / -) and in default of payment of fine, 3 months simple imprisonment with 9% interest તા.15/09/2023 to be paid to the complainant. The details of the case are as under: Proprietor of Hari Om Marble firm - Muzaffarpur-Bihar Vijay Kumar, Proprietor of Proprietor-Spinix Ceramic Partnership firm - PrayagPari Ashok Pari Goswami - Morbiwala purchased ceramic vitrified tiles in the year 2023 from the complainant - Spinix Ceramic Partnership firm - Morbi Mah. 4th Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate sentenced the accused to one year simple imprisonment and fine of ₹33,668 / - double amount (₹67,336 / -).
