Toronto: Canada has finally identified Khalistanis as a threat to the country's internal security. The country's intelligence agency CSIS says, "The continued involvement of Khalistani extremists in Canada in violent extremist activities continues to pose a national security threat to Canada and Canadian interests." The report released by CSIS states that there is a growing trend in Canada of young people (some as young as 13 years old) being involved in certain types of investigations. Almost one in ten investigations now involve at least one person under the age of 18. The report further states that terrorism-related investigations often lead to violence. Five minors were arrested in Canada in 2023, two in 2024, and two in 2025. These include a minor from Montreal who was arrested for allegedly planning an attack for DAESH, and a minor from the Edmonton area who was arrested by the CSIS 764 intelligence agency for "politically motivated" acts of terrorism.
