CBSE has taken a big step towards incorporating AI and new technology in school education. The board has released a new curriculum framework of Computational Thinking and AI for students from class 3 to class 8. It aims to develop logical thinking, problem solving, and understanding of digital technology in students from early classes. CBSE says that the new framework will provide schools with a systematic way to teach the concepts of computational thinking and AI through age-appropriate activities. Under the new framework, students will not only be taught how to use technology, but also the thinking and working process behind it. It will have a special focus on developing skills like logical thinking, pattern recognition, algorithmic thinking, creativity, and problem solving in a systematic manner. Along with this, students will also be given information about the basic concepts of AI and its use in everyday life, so that they can become responsible creators of technology and users. CBSE has also launched the Online Creative Thinking and Active Thinking Series in collaboration with IIT Gandhinagar.
