Celebrating World Sparrow Day: A Call to Action for Environmental Conservation

Sanosara: A special program was organized on the occasion of'World Sparrow Day'at Lokbharati Teaching Temple, a renowned educational institution of Gohilwad. The celebration was done with a noble intention to strengthen the sense of awareness and sensitivity in the society towards the environment and especially towards the most beloved and innocent bird sparrow of our courtyard. The dignitaries present on the occasion called for making the'Sparrow Save'campaign a mass movement. Guidance and call by environmentalists: The program was attended by noted environmentalists Virjibhai Bala and Rameshbhai Patel as chief guests. In his keynote address, he stressed on the ever-decreasing existence of sparrows and the urgent need for their conservation. He said that with modern constructions and changes in the environment, nesting sites for sparrows are shrinking, artificial nests can prove to be a blessing. He motivated the trainees to actively join this voluntary service campaign and become a link in the protection of the environment.
