According to reports, China pressured Iran at the last minute, after which Tehran agreed to talks and decided to de-escalate. US President Donald Trump issued a major ultimatum to Iran over the Strait of Hormuz. Trump issued a strongly worded threat on social media that if this path was not cleared, the Iranian civilization would be completely destroyed.
