CID Arrests Former Aide of Ex-JPSC Member Ajita Bhattacharya in Examination Rigging Case

Former Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) member Ajita Bhattacharya's PA BN Ram has been arrested by the CID in the examination rigging case. He is accused of extorting 40 lakhs for managing interviews in JPSC. This is being considered a major action of the CID and the investigating agency has made 22nd arrest. Ajita Bhattacharya is the wife of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha strongman and party's central general secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya. Ajita Bhattacharya was also questioned at length by the CID in the past. She was summoned for questioning. Ajita Bhattacharya has been a member of JPSC. She is the wife of JMM strongman and central general secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya. Ajita resigned on 9 August. Amid the ongoing controversy over irregularities in the examinations and the CID investigation, she decided to resign from her post.
