New Delhi, Oct 5: Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday called for an aggressive campaign against vote chori, while Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi made it clear that the agitation will continue until Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar is removed. Kharge today chaired a meeting at the party headquarters of all the general secretaries, state incharges, state unit chiefs and dental organisation heads over the issue of the SIR. The meeting lasted for over two hours, which was also attended by Rahul Gandhi. Sources said that Rahul Gandhi during the meeting told the party leaders that we have to be alert, active, and fight the battle. He also asked party leaders to think out of the box and be creative to capture imagination of the youth Meanwhile, after the meeting Congress General Secretary Organisation KC Venugopal said, “Today, Congress General Secretaries, In-charges, PCC Presidents and frontal organisation heads met in the presence of Congress President Kharge and LoP Rahul Gandhi. He said that Kharge called for an aggressive nationwide campaign against Vote Chori titled ‘Vote bachao, Desh Bachao’. He also said that Rahul Gandhi made it clear that the agitation will continue until Gyanesh Kumar is removed and the electoral system is corrected. H also alleged that the Election Commission has become the cheating commission of India. He also shared the Congress plan over the vote theft across the country. He said that during the phase one, the INDIA bloc is holding save democracy marches between October 2 and 8. Venugopal said that under hase two, the Congress will kick off the campaign from October 10 to 20 titled ‘vote bachao, desh bachao’. He said that the campaign will include bike rallies, cycle rallies, padyatras and pamphlet distribution. The Congress leader said that these.programmes will be taken at the bloc level across the country. He also said that in phase three which will start from October 25 and will be a month long programme till November 25, the party leaders will conduct village chaupal and indentify the 13.3 crore voters, who have been left out of the voter rolls under the SIar exercise. Venugopal also said that on November 1, the INDIA bloc will be holding a massive public meeting at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan over the vote chori. He then said that on November 25 and 26 part eil hold six yatras from different states to Delhi, titled as ‘Delhi Chalo March’, which will be a massive yatra where hundreds of vehicles will be part of it. He also said that six senior leaders will be overseeing the Delhi Chalo Yatra.
