Congress Candidate Wins Unopposed in Rajasthan's Ramganjmandi Municipal Elections

Ahead of the Ramganjmandi municipal elections in Rajasthan's Kota district, a major political upheaval has occurred in Ramganjmandi. Congress candidate Pawan Babel has been elected unopposed from Ward No. 27 after BJP's official candidate Ravi Mewara withdrew his nomination. This unopposed victory of Congress in the area of Education Minister Madan Dilawar is being seen as a political setback for the BJP. The BJP had trusted Ravi Mewara among many contenders and made him the official candidate of the party. Just before the elections, his withdrawal has become a topic of discussion. Along with Ravi Mewara, four other candidates also withdrew their names from the ward. After this, Pawan Babel was declared the winner unopposed. Amid the expectations of BJP's strong performance in Ramganjmandi municipal elections, this development of Ward 27 is considered to be a concern for the party. Especially after the victory of Congress candidate Nirvana Dilawar in the area under the influence of Education Minister Madan Dilawar, 40 local nominations were filed in Ramganj Municipal Corporation.
