On Friday, the delegation led by state general secretary organisation Rajendra Singh Bhandari submitted a memorandum to the Chief Election Commission demanding strict action against serious irregularities and violation of rules in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. The Congress alleged that many objections are being filed through the same person in different assembly constituencies. These are aimed at deleting the names of legitimate voters. Objections to delete the names of more than 10 percent of the voters were registered in about 50 polling stations of Kichha assembly. Only four persons filed more than 100 objections. About 6,410 objections were reported to be filed in the name of Rajesh Tiwari. An objection was also filed against MLA Furqan Ahmed in the advertisement advertisement Piran Kaliyar. An inquiry was demanded into the objections in the name of the deceased woman in Gadarpur and the persons in judicial custody.
