Chennai: The Congress in Tamil Nadu will join the Vijay-led TVK government. The Congress has announced the names of two MLAs who were sworn in as ministers ahead of CM Joseph Vijay's cabinet expansion. Congress MLAs Advocate Rajesh Kumar and Thiru P. Viswanathan will be inducted into the Tamil Nadu cabinet. Both leaders were sworn in as ministers yesterday. In the Tamil Nadu assembly elections, the Congress had contested in alliance with the DMK, but after TVK emerged as the single largest party in the election results, the party decided to support Vijay. The Congress has won five seats. Joseph Vijay drove a Bolero after asking for a driver. Anand Mahindra was sworn in as the chief minister on 10 May. Vijay TVK chief Thalapathy Vijayan was sworn in on 10 May. Vijay-led TVK won 108 seats in the elections. After Vijay resigned from Trichy East, the number of TVK MLAs has come down to 107. Vijay's government has the support of Congress (5), VU (2), CPI (M) and CPI (2).
