Amid reports of MPs breaking away from Shiv Sena (UBT), senior Congress leader and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan has accused the BJP of weakening the opposition parties. Prithviraj Chavan said, "I came to know from the news channel that 6 out of 9 MPs of Shiv Sena UBT have written a letter to President Om Birla to form their own faction or go with the Shinde faction. But I have not had a personal conversation with anyone." He added, "There was an apprehension of this since only 4 MPs came to Matoshree in the meeting on June 14. But it is not going well. The way BJP wants to eliminate the entire opposition and rule only 1 leader and 1 party, it is fascism." The Congress leader alleged, "The BJP cannot break the regional parties, so Uddhav ji is again targeting the Congress party.
